The YMCA wants to help build a Community of Health in Petrolia.
At the YMCA, we believe in designing programs and experiences for the community, with the community - which is why we wanted to hear from you first about our proposed operating model for The Centre. Your insights, gathered in October and November, will form a central part of the model the YMCA proposes to Council in January.

Following a successful series of public consultations that included Boomers Extra, Staff of the Oil Heritage District Community Centre, members of The Centre, the Lambton Central Petrolia Optimist Club, Bluewater Health, and the public, there will be an opportunity to see the draft proposal from the YMCA.
The Public Meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Victoria Hall in Petrolia, with a Special Meeting of Council to follow at 7:00 p.m. where Council will also review the proposal in detail before making a final decision at the January 22, 2018 Regular Meeting of Council.
All parties agree that this is a very important decision and want to ensure a full consultation with the public and all interested parties, and that council has all of the information needed to make an informed decision on behalf of the residents of Petrolia.
The proposal will be available for the public to view 48 hours ahead of the January 15 meeting on the Town of Petrolia website. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
